The panel covers and glareshield were painted black and the avionics were repositioned. During the avionic check, a defect in the installed Becker Mode-S transponder was discovered. A repair was not an option due to the costs. A Trig TT31 transponder was quickly retrofitted because it was replaceable 'plug and play'.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preliminary result is a tidy panel<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"730\" src=\"https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-1024x730.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1009\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-1024x730.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-768x548.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-1536x1096.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-2048x1461.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/aeroteam.aero\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/2023-1568x1118.jpg 1568w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Further renovation and modernization of the panel began in the winter.<br>The old altitude and attitude gyros should be replaced with modern Garmin G5 instruments. Since the existing instruments did not have a standard 3 1\/8\" cutout, the left panel had to be completely redesigned. After internal consultation, the decision was made for the more complex but much nicer \u201cflushmount\u201d version for the Garmin Dual G5 EFIS package. The plastic cover on the left panel, which was broken several times, gave way to laser cutting. The remaining devices were completely removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new avionics now includes the following components:<br>1x Bendix\/King KMA 26 (Audiopanel with Intercom)<br>1x Garmin GNS530 (COM\/NAV\/GPS\/FMS)<br>1x Trig TY96 (COM)<br>1x Trig TT31 (Transponder Mode-S)<br>1x Garmin G5 (ADI#1)<br>1x Garmin G5 (HSI)<br>1x Garmin GAD29B (Data-Interface)<br>1x Garmin GMU11 (Magnetometer)<br>1x Uavionix AC30C (ADI#2)<br>1x Air Avionics AT1 (Traffic Avoidance System)<br>1x Kannad AF Integra (406 MHz ELT) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, all old fuses and cables were removed and the old, unshielded intercom cables were replaced.
